Two controversial issues will come up for public hearings at Monday night’s Amherst Town Board meeting.
The board will gather public input regarding its new, proposed food truck permit requirement, which will charge food vendors $500 a year to operate a food truck in Amherst (excluding Williamsville).
The board will also hold a public hearing on a local law that would keep the Town Board at six members, including the supervisor, instead of continuing to downsize the board to five members, as is the process currently in place.
The board will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the council chambers of the Amherst Municipal Building, 5583 Main St., Williamsville. The meeting will be preceded by a work session at 3 p.m.
The evening meeting will be live blogged at www.buffalonews.com.
