An East Tupper Street man with a history of drunken driving is accused of leaving the scene of a property-damage accident about 9 p.m. Saturday.

Angel R. Ramos, 39, was arrested in the second block of Allen Street shortly after crashing into a parked vehicle, then blaming the crash on a friend, police said.

Ramos, police added, who had been convicted of driving while intoxicated previously, posted a 0.18 percent blood-alcohol level – more than twice the legal limit. He was charged with both DWI and aggravated DWI and also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and obstructing governmental administration – for falsely accusing a “friend” of causing the crash, police said.
