Surely Celtic Woman has kissed the Blarney Stone. There is nothing shy about this group, which can always be counted on for high-power Irish music, sophisticated high-tech effects and enough good-natured Irish humor to keep things moving. Formed in 2004, Celtic Woman explores a repertoire ranging from Irish songs to contemporary numbers and inspirational music. “Amazing Grace” is a signature song, and so is “You Raise Me Up.”

Four Irishwomen make up the group – vocalists Chloë Agnew, Lisa Lambe and Susan McFadden, and iconoclastic violinist Máiréad Nesbitt, who scampers around with her fiddle always under her chin.

Celtic Woman performs at 8 p.m. Saturday in Shea’s Performing Arts Center (646 Main St.). The quartet will be joined by a full band, a six-member choir, bagpiper Anthony Byrne and championship Irish dancer Craig Ashurst. Tickets are $51.15 to $113.70 (box office). Visit www.sheas.org.
