A ceremony was held Wednesday for 24 Fruit Belt residents, business owners, parishioners and property owners in Buffalo who graduated from a leadership training program provided by the University at Buffalo, the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Kaleida Health.

The graduates were given instruction in team-building, problem-solving, decision-making, budgeting, building an action plan and measuring outcomes.

Participants developed skills and knowledge needed to implement solutions to improve the quality of life in the Fruit Belt and to improve collaboration among residents, community groups, local governments and organizations.
