The Buffalo Junior Sabres saw their season come to an end following a 2-1 double overtime loss to the North York Rangers.

Corey Kalk scored the game-winner at 10:17 as North York won the best-of-seven series, 4-2.

The Rangers were led by goalie Jason Pucciarelli, who finished with 50 saves. Pucciarelli managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.21 prior to the game.

Ryan Schmelzer scored on a feed from Tyler Gjurich at 9:42 into the third period to tie the game for Buffalo.

Buffalo excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. The Rangers were unable to stop the Jr. Sabres from sending pucks towards the net, and Buffalo eventually piled up 51 shots on goal.
