NIAGARA FALLS – Nine months after he walked across Niagara Falls, daredevil Nik Wallenda will return to the city that launched his worldwide fame.

Wallenda will be in Niagara Falls tomorrow to discuss “upcoming projects,” according to the staff of State Sen. George D. Maziarz, R-Newfane.

Wallenda will appear with Maziarz at an 11:30 a.m. news conference to reveal “new details” about his new book and his plan to walk across the Grand Canyon this summer.

He announced earlier this week on NBC’s “Today” show that he would make the Grand Canyon walk on June 23 – this time, without a safety tether as he was forced to do for his walk across the falls.

While in town, Wallenda will also accept an award from the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce for his wire-walking feat last summer.
