Raymond A. Marien, of East Amherst, a certified public accountant, died Monday in Buffalo General Medical Center after a short illness. He was 50.
Born in Buffalo, he was a graduate of Amherst High School.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Canisius College and his master’s degree of business administration in accounting from the University at Buffalo.
He was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, the national accounting honor fraternity.
A certified public accountant since 1990, he owned and operated his own accounting business in East Amherst.
He enjoyed nature photography, boating, bicycling, skiing and walking.
Surviving are a sister, Ellen A., and a close friend, Susan Crehan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 200 St. Gregory Court at Maple Road, Amherst.
