Cost of Bush’s wars ignited fiscal crisis

Republicans are blaming President Obama for runaway spending and the debt America faces. Let’s not forget what the Bush-Cheney administration started in Iraq. A loss of thousands of lives and an $811 billion price tag so far, with no end in sight. We are told the war is over, but the killing goes on. Money is still being spent to bolster a corrupt government and kickbacks from criminal contractors, many of whom are linked to people in high places. We will regret this for years to come. President Dwight Eisenhower said, “beware of the military-industrial complex.”
