The John R. Oishei Foundation promoted Lawrence Cook to senior program officer, Gayle Houck to controller/grants manager and Jacquelyn Reisdorf to office manager/program assistant. Cook, formerly program officer, graduated from Buffalo State College. Houck was the grants and officer manager and recording secretary for the board. Reisdorf graduated from Oswego State University.
TM Montante Development has named Timothy Vaeth president. Vaeth, former vice president of development at Ciminelli Real Estate Corp., will be the No. 2 official at the firm that provides real estate services and solar energy installations.
M&T Bank promoted James M. Ahrens to group vice president in the bank's mortgage and consumer lending division. Ahrens received both his bachelor's degree and MBA from the University at Buffalo. Also, the bank promoted James J. Jarosz to group vice president in its retail banking division. Jarosz received his bachelor's degree and MBA from Canisius College.
Independent Health promoted Christopher Maraszek to director, IT application services. Maraszek was previously director of software development for Meritain Health. Maraszek received his bachelor's degree from Syracuse University.
Lumsden & McCormick promoted Timothy J. Bubar to auditing and accounting manager. Bubar, a CPA, earned his MBA from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor's degree from Canisius College.
Brisbane Consulting Group promoted William P. Allen to manager. Allen, a CPA, recently earned the Accredited in Business Valuation designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He had served in the auditing department with Lumsden McCormick since graduating from Le Moyne College.
Westfield Memorial Hospital appointed Patty Ballman administrator. A 33-year veteran from Saint Vincent Health System, parent hospital of WMH, Ballman was a 16-year director of operations for SVHS's Medical Group. She is a graduate of the Saint Vincent School of Nursing. The hospital also named Vickie Forsythe administrative assistant.
SAMCO Technologies appointed Thomas M. Krol executive vice president. Krol earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and a JD from the UB School of Law. Also, the company promoted Matthew Burger to vice president of engineering and technology and named Charlie Cotten controller. Burger earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University at Buffalo. Cotten, a CMA, previously served as controller for Petri Baking Products and is a graduate of Thiel College.
CerMedia promoted Paul Pustulka to general manager. Pustulka, who has worked for the company since 2009, previously served as an engineer for NanoDynamics Inc. He earned his bachelor's degree from Alfred University and an MBA from the University at Buffalo. Also, Melisa Schrock was hired to lead marketing and business development initiatives.
