NIAGARA FALLS – A car burglar victimized two shoppers in the city’s LaSalle section Friday morning.

A woman told police she parked her car at the Dollar General in the 7200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 10 a.m. and when she returned to the vehicle 15 minutes later, discovered the driver’s-side window was smashed out and the rear seat was damaged. Nothing was taken. Damage was estimated at $800.

About an hour later, a car was vandalized while parked at the Rite Aid store in the 8000 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. The owner was in the store about five minutes, police said, and emerged to discover the driver’s window smashed and his wallet – containing $2,000 in cash – missing.
