More than 100 marching units will take part in the 20th annual “Old Neighborhood” St. Patrick’s Day Parade at noon Saturday in Buffalo’s Valley and Old First Ward neighborhoods.

Marching bands, floats, social clubs, bagpipers, Irish dancers, classic cars and others will step off from the Valley Community Center, 93 Leddy St., and proceed along South Park Avenue, Smith Street, Elk Street, Hamburg Street and O’Connell Avenue.

Grand marshal will be Ann Hinman McMahon, a mother of nine and former leader of the Valley Community Association Senior Citizen Program.

The parade will be dedicated to the memories of Sharon Boulanger Syracuse, Geraldine “Jerry” Butler and Frank Pezzimenti, active Valley Community Association volunteers who died during the past year.

The traditional grand Irish hooley, featuring live music by the Left Overs and plenty of food and beverages, will immediately follow the parade from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Valley Community Center.
