Reserved, covered parking is now available at Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority announced Monday that the service, first discussed several months ago, is being offered in the parking garage close to the terminal entrance.

NFTA officials said that once online, customers will be asked to indicate the number of days of covered parking desired and to prepay the $3-per-day reservation surcharge with a credit card. They are then asked to print the receipt for dashboard display, with the daily rate paid upon the customer’s exit from the garage.

The airport’s website also offers a calculator for parking rates for any of the airport’s four lots.

NFTA Executive Director Kimberley A. Minkel called the new feature an “upgrade” in airport parking services.

“Reserved, covered parking right in front of the terminal is a unique service that sets us apart from off-airport parking providers,” she said.
