Medtek Devices, which does business as Buffalo Filter, promoted Samantha Bonano to president. Bonano previously was director of international sales, vice president of strategic development, and most recently chief operating officer. She is a graduate of the University at Buffalo.

Delaware North Companies appointed Rajat Shah general counsel, corporate secretary and vice president of external affairs. Shah joined the company in 2011 as vice president of corporate development and external affairs. Previously he was CEO and president of SMS Advisory Services LLC in Bethesda, Md., and senior vice president of corporate development and general counsel for Seneca Gaming Corp. He graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Law and Gettysburg College.

Delaware North Companies Sportservice appointed Richard Hamilton vice president of food and beverage, and Daniel Sonnenreich director, operations planning and analysis. Hamilton graduated with honors from both Le Cordon Bleu and Ritz Escoffier Ecole de Gastronomie. Most recently, Hamilton served as vice president at Elizabeth Blau and Associates, a hospitality consulting firm. Sonnenreich was regional vice president for Best Head Hunters. He is a University at Buffalo graduate.

The University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences appointed Dr. Eugene Gu an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology. Gu completed his neurology residency at Temple University and a fellowship in neurocritical care at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He was on the faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He is serving as director of Neurocritical Care at Buffalo General Medical Center.

Mount St. Mary’s Hospital and Health Center appointed Stephen H. Franko III chief financial officer. Franko, a CPA, was chief financial officer at Regional Hospital of Scranton in Scranton, Pa., along with Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, Pa. and Special Care Hospital in Nanticoke, Pa. He earned his MBA and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton.

Univera Healthcare promoted Mona Chitre to vice president of pharmacy management. Chitre earned her undergraduate and doctoral degrees in pharmacy from Rutgers University, and did her primary-care residency with the Veterans Affairs Western New York Healthcare System. Chitre is an adjunct faculty member at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, and University at Buffalo’s School of Pharmacy.

Foit-Albert Associates, Architecture, Engineering & Surveying named Gregory R. Carballada vice president-architecture. Carballada has been involved in numerous high profile projects including the stabilization at the Richardson Olmsted Complex, Trinity Residence Hall at Hilbert College and construction oversight at the World Trade Center in New York City. He is a University at Buffalo graduate.

Trubee, Collins & Co. named John Meisner comptroller. Meisner worked at HSBC for 15 years where he fulfilled various roles in finance, audit, human resources, and information technology areas. He is a Canisius College graduate.

KegWorks named Steven DaVerne marketing director, promoted John Conway to chief financial officer and named Elizabeth Chatterton brand ambassador. DaVerne graduated from the University of South Florida. He most recently worked at his own small agency/design firm called INTERACT and previously at Wirthwein Corporation in East Aurora. Conway was controller. Chatterton was social media director at the company. Both Conway and Chatteron graduated from Canisius College.
