The University at Buffalo puts the finishing touches on its Mid-American Conference regular season tonight when it travels to Bowling Green for a 6 p.m. tipoff (Radio 1230 AM).

The Bulls (12-18, 7-8) lost, 72-69, to Ohio in their last game Tuesday night. Will Regan led the Bulls with 20 points and eight rebounds. Javon McCrea added 19 points and five rebounds.

UB’s next start will be in the MAC Tournament starting Monday, as will Bowling Green’s. The Falcons and Bulls are playing for seeding for the tournament and could finish as high as fifth or as low as eighth.

Bowling Green is 10-4 at home this year, while Buffalo is just 4-9 on the road. The Falcons will honor A’uston Calhoun, Jordon Crawford, James Erger and Luke Kraus for Senior Night.

The Falcons are 16-10 all-time against Buffalo, but the Bulls have won the past three meetings.

Bowling Green is 12-18 overall, 6-9 in the MAC and is coming off a 69-61 loss at Kent State, also on Tuesday. Calhoun leads Bowling Green in scoring (15.3 ppg) and rebounding (7.3 rpg).

Bowling Green leads the all-time series, 16-10. Buffalo won the last meeting, 68-65, at Alumni Arena on Jan. 19. McCrea led the Bulls with 21 points.

McCrea is the first player in school history to make 200 field goals in a season (212). He has made 39 more field goals than any other player in the MAC. Bowling Green’s Calhoun has 173.

The Bulls have won three straight and five of the last seven against Bowling Green. Buffalo’s last three losses have been by a total of six points.

Tony Watson posted his first career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 11 rebounds against Ohio.

The Bulls are 8-2 when scoring 70 or more points and 4-16 when scoring less than 70.
