Say Yes Buffalo appointed Allison Newman scholarship director, Esther Annan director of data and evaluation, and Mark Gawronski program coordinator. Newman graduated from the University of Michigan and earned her master’s degree from Teachers College at Columbia University. Annan earned her master’s degree from the University at Buffalo in 2006. Gawronski graduated from Boston University.


The Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual President’s Dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion on Route 5 in Derby. The Buffalo Brewery District properties – Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, Pan American Grill & Brewery, Hotel @ The Lafayette, Lofts on Pearl and Sportsmen’s Tavern – have formed a collaborative marketing partnership with Tourisme Franco-Niagara to reach out to Francophone markets in Quebec, Ontario and France. Since 2002, Tourisme Franco-Niagara has been focused on attracting the Francophone market from Quebec and France to the Niagara region to experience the year-round tourism products and services, and fill the gap left by fewer people crossing the border. The Buffalo Brewery District worked with the Binational Alliance and staff of Tourisme Franco-Niagara to adapt their hotel, restaurant, brewery and entertainment promotional materials specifically for the French-speaking market.
