DAYTON, Ohio — Visiting St. Bonaventure trailed almost all the way Wednesday in a 75-63 loss to Dayton, but remains in the hunt for a berth in next week’s 12-team Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament at Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn.

Tournament qualification inched closer when George Washington lost to La Salle, 84-70.

The Colonials are in 13th place with a 6-9 record. Bona (14-14, 7-8) clinches with a win Saturday at home over Fordham.

The Bonnies’ last lead was 8-7 before the hot-shooting Flyers (17-12, 7-8) took charge. Dayton took a 32-27 lead at the half and led by as many as 15 with 16:44 left. Demitrius Conger led the Bonnies with 22 points while Eric Mosley added 13. Kevin Dillard had 18 for Dayton.
