The Niagara Frontier Ski Council Racing program will send 34 representatives to the New York State Ski Racing Championships today through Sunday at Greek Peak and Toggenburg ski areas in Central New York. The NFSC features under-10, under-12 and under-14 skiers from WNY areas including Buffalo Ski Club, Kissing Bridge, Holiday Valley and Holimont. HOCKEY: Southeast Nationals, founded by former Buffalo Sabre Jason Dawe, will hold three spring combines March 25-28 at the Northtown Center for the 2002, 1999 and 95-97 birth years. MARTIAL ARTS: The 14th annual Sport Martial Arts Championship International Tournament will be held at the Conference & Event Center, 101 Old Falls St., Niagara Falls, from 5 to 11 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. SWIMMING: A Western New York high school swim coaches clinic wlil be held March 23 at Orchard Park High School from 7:30 to 11 a.m. The theme is how to make area high school swimming better. Guest speakers include Art Aungst (Orchard Park), Eric McClaren (former Clarence coach), Ed Maynard (Niagara Falls), Sean McNamee (St. Bonaventure) and others. Topics to be discussed are season planning, drills, dry land, team leadership, technology in swimming, tools used for training and more. There is no fee for the clinic but coaches are asked to make a minimum donation of $25 to Carly’s Crossing or St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy. Email for details.
