Sasha Henry of SUNY Buffalo State will be the No. 1 seed in the 60-meter dash in this week’s NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at North Central in Naperville, Ill.

Henry, a senior who has the nation’s fastest time this season of 7.63 in the 60, set at the SUNYAC championships on Feb. 23, is one of four Buffalo State athletes entered in meet.

Jazmin Dunham is ranked fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a qualifying time of 8.74 seconds. Cory Cox will compete in the men’s long jump, qualified with the fifth-best mark in the nation at 7.33 meters (224 feet, ½ inch). Bumkoth Jiak qualified for the 800 meters with a school record 1:52.01, set in winning the ECAC championship last Saturday. He is seeded 11th.

The 60 prelims will be Friday at 6:20 p.m. and the finals at 3:50 p.m. Saturday. The 60 hurdles trials will be Friday at 5:15 p.m. with the final at 3:05 Saturday. The long jump competition will take place Friday at 5 p.m. Jiak will run the 800 prelim at 6:50 p.m. Friday. The final will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
