Seth Godin, an entrepreneur, author and blogger, will discuss this region’s place in the “connection economy” April 4 at the Burchfield Penney Art Center in a talk hosted by the Advertising Club of Buffalo.

Godin, a Buffalo native, writes and speaks about how to market ideas in the digital age. He founded Yoyodyne, an early Internet direct-marketing company that later was bought by Yahoo, where Godin worked for a year as vice president of direct marketing.

His latest company is, which allows its users to build a Web page devoted to a topic that interests them.
