Buffalo firefighters Tuesday morning battled a two-alarm fire in a large vacant building on Genesee Street, fire officials said.
Firefighters responded to a 12:26 a.m. alarm at 1655 Genesee St., a large two-story brick building between Moselle Street and Bailey Avenue. Fire officials called for extra equipment in fighting the fire at the roughly 100-by-100-foot building, before sounding a second alarm later in the morning.
The blaze left an estimated $100,000 damage. The cause remains under investigation.
