LOCKPORT – A Dysinger Road man told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies that four men forced their way into his apartment at about 2 a.m. Monday, beating him and taking cash, a rifle and a gold chain.

The victim said he heard the knock on his door to his apartment in the 6600 block of Dysinger Road, and when he opened the door a man hit him in the face with a revolver. He said the first man was quickly followed by four more men who ordered him to the floor and then struck him several more times, according to deputies reports.

He said two men held him down, while three others ransacked the apartment.

The men left with a safe that contained $3,000 in cash, as well as a Winchester bolt action .22 caliber rifle in a case, and a gold chain with a cross, according to deputies.
