WILSON – A debate between Village of Wilson mayoral candidates Bernard “Bernie” Leiker and Gerald “Jerry” Kadryna is slated for 7 p.m. Thursday ► March 7 ◄ in anticipation of the March 19 election.

The debate will be held in Wilson Town Hall, 375 Lake St.

Leiker, who serves as the village’s deputy mayor, was elected to the Village Board in March 2010.

He will be backed in the upcoming election by the Democratic and Wilson Community parties.

Kadryna, who was elected a trustee last March, has the Republican, Independence and Wilson Taxpayers lines.

They are seeking a four-year term to replace Democratic Mayor Patrick Kelahan, who resigned the post last fall when he moved with his family to Newfane.

The public is invited to submit questions for the debate either the night of the event or by visiting www.wilsondebate2013@gmail.com.
