Honor Flight Buffalo has announced plans for two trips to Washington, D.C., this spring, as the nonprofit, all-volunteer organization begins its fourth year.

The one-day trips, scheduled for May 11 and June 15, allow veterans of World War II to visit memorials dedicated to their sacrifices.

Though offered to veterans free of charge, the trips cost $375 for each. Through the support of the Buffalo community, Honor Flight Buffalo has escorted 265 World War II veterans on 10 trips since its inception.
