The Buffalo Turners Gymnastics Level 7 & 8 team participated in the Rochester Classic on Feb. 16-17. In Level 7, Molly Denman won the floor exercise (9.55) and finished second All Around. Olivia VeRost placed fifth on uneven bars. Teammates included Meadow Wright, Mikala Thursam, Dakota Piehler and Grace Graney. In Level 8, Aja Devlin placed sixth on uneven bars and Alexandria Gorcheck took ninth on floor. Also competing were Emily Maulucci and Alexandra Piehler.

BASEBALL: Mansfield University will host a hitting clinic March 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be separate clinics for ages 5-12 and 13-18. All sessions will be held in Decker Gymnasium featuring six artificial turfed batting cages. Cost is $40 per player. FOOTBALL: Cross Training Football will hold a minicamp for modified and JV players grades 7-9 on March 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ralph Wilson Stadium Fieldhouse. Cost is $29 and registration is at 4 p.m.

HOCKEY: The Niagara Junior Purple Eagles Girls U12 and U14 hockey teams will host tryouts for next season at Dwyer Arena beginning in March. Girls U12: March 11-12, Girls U14: April 8-9. All games will be played at Cazenovia, Houghton-Stachowski or Fronczak parks. ... Evans Youth Softball has openings for its 13th annual Memorial Day Softball Tournament, May 24-26.
