The Independent Health Family Branch YMCA in Amherst appointed Adriana Ciach business manager; Eric Dosch program director; Allison Gravelle aquatics director; Kathleen Russell wellness director; and Kristin Hart-Denehey senior program director. Ciach, with more than 15 years’ experience in human resources and corporate accounting management, most recently was educational recruiter for ITT Technical Institute. Dosch will oversee youth sports, teen and family programming. He has been employed at the East Area Family YMCA in Fayetteville for the past four years and has been the sports director there since 2010. Gravelle has been employed at the Northeast Y since 2008 in the Aquatics Department as interim aquatics director. Russell has been employed at the Metro Atlanta YMCA for the past seven years, most recently as senior wellness director. Hart-Denehey will direct SACC and Camp operations and oversee the Preschool and Child Watch Departments. She had been the youth enrichment director at the Sumter Family YMCA in South Carolina for three years where she led after-school, camp and children’s fitness programs.


Meals on Wheels for Western New York named Christine Procknal support services clerk. Procknal, with more than 20 years of business experience, most recently worked for VertaSource. She received her bachelor’s degree from Saint Lawrence University and her MBA from Canisius College.

Freshly Squeezed, a fresh, healthy beverage franchise, recently opened at the Walden Galleria. The new shop is located on the upper level near Jack Astor’s and offers a variety of pure fruit juices, smoothies, teas and bubble teas.


Main Street Used Tires Sales and Service, 1699 Main St., near Canisius College, was recently opened by Pavel Faynshteyn. The center offers more than 6,000 used tires.


The Chautauqua Revolving Loan Fund recently presented a $65,000 check to EMC FinTech, located at 1400 E. Second St. in Jamestown, to assist in its growth. EMC FinTech has grown from a startup in 2007 and now employs 12 people. The company provides tooling for the heating and cooling industry.


Read to Succeed Buffalo received a contribution of $18,900 from the Buffalo Rotary Foundation, the charitable arm of the Rotary Club of Buffalo. The funding will continue the expansion of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which was launched in 2011 to provide children living in Buffalo’s East Side 14215 ZIP code with increased access to books. The Buffalo Rotary Foundation has committed a three-year $60,000 investment to the program.
