The Buffalo Junior Sabres 12-Under hockey team advanced to the quarterfinals of the Quebec Pee Wee International Tournament with a 4-1 win over the New York Rangers Elite Team on Friday in Quebec City.

Joel Farabee scored twice, while Kevin Wall and Pat Callahan also scored for Buffalo, which received 26 saves from Dan Mikolajczak.

The Junior Sabres, who are 3-0 in the tournament, will face the Philadelphia Junior Flyers, a 5-2 winner over the Harfangs du Quebec, at 1 p.m. today. The winner of that showdown advances to the semifinals tonight at 8. The championship game is Sunday afternoon.
