BACK TO NATURE – Registrations can be made at a $10 discount until next Thursday for the “Kids in the Woods” Summer Day Camp programs at Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve in Cheektowaga.

The weeklong programs include half-day Little Sprouts Camp for kids entering kindergarten or first grade. Nature Explorers Camp, for those entering grades two through four, and Wilderness Adventurers Camp, for kids entering fifth through seventh grade, are daylong programs. Extended care is available at all levels for an additional fee.

GLORY DAYS – Forest Lawn’s Sunday in the Cemetery Concert and Lecture Series recalls the glories of the fabled Park Lane in “Buffalo’s Best Restaurants Remembered” at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel.

Marla Bujnicki, master docent for Buffalo Tours, will recount the glories of the elegant Gates Circle restaurant and its host, Peter Gust Economou. Photos and artifacts of the restaurant will be featured, as well as a sample of a signature dish. Seating is limited. Reservations are required. Tickets are $25.
