RANDOLPH – A Jamestown man was arrested on a slew of charges after troopers pulled him over on Interstate-86 Monday night after clocking him at 105 mph, officials said.
Shortly after 9 p.m., Trooper Robert Morris observed a car that appeared to be speeding on I-86. He activated his radar and clocked the vehicle, a 1998 Saab, going 105 mph. He executed a traffic stop and the driver, Lawrence J. Walsh, 20, of Jamestown was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
Walsh was transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown where a breath test indicated his blood alcohol content level was .16 percent. He was also charged with possession of alcohol under the age of 21 after Morris located a 16-ounce can of beer inside the Saab.
Walsh was issued tickets to appear in the Town of Randolph Court on Feb. 28.
