Let’s punish criminals, not law-abiding citizens

Let’s stop dancing around this issue. If you want to make gun control effective without taking away any law-abiding citizen’s Second Amendment rights, it can be done in three easy steps.

1) Anyone caught with a stolen gun or a gun that has been altered to obscure its origin has already committed a crime and should be jailed for 25 years with no chance of parole.

2) Anyone using any gun in the commission of a crime should receive a mandatory life sentence with no chance of parole.

3) Anyone using a gun in the commission of a crime who shoots someone, whether he dies or not, should get the death penalty with no chance of appeal.

Problem solved. Law-abiding citizens can have any weapon they choose to own because they will never be affected by the above. Remember, there are those who choose crime as a way of life. Let them understand the consequences.
