Town police and fire district officials are looking into obtaining auxiliary power for radio equipment on the water tower in the village. The power source to the tower was interrupted recently, and police officials want to have a backup before the town places its new radio equipment on the tower.
Lt. Joseph Wehrfritz said the town hopes to share the cost of the backup power with the fire district.
Village voters will choose from among three candidates running for three trustee positions in elections March 19.
Incumbents Joseph R. Wales and Francis T. Hogenkamp are running on the Republican and Village First party lines. Mitchell Nowakowski will run on the Conservative and Democratic lines, and Wales also has the Conservative endorsement. Mayor John B. Wilson, running with the Republican and Village First endorsements, is unopposed.
