Gunshots fired into a crowd early Saturday morning in the University Heights neighborhood injured one person.

Three males fired three or four shots into a crowd at Main Street and Minnesota Avenue at around 2:19 a.m., before the three jumped into a vehicle and sped off, Buffalo police said.

The shots struck one male in the neck, according to police reports.

The victim, however, refused treatment at the scene and was taken to a hospital by a friend, police added.

Several .38-caliber shell casings were found on the sidewalk by Main and LaSalle Avenue.
