NIAGARA FALLS – Niagara Falls police raids Thursday shut down drug houses on Ashland Avenue, Memorial Parkway and Falls Street, authorities said.

Police seized crack cocaine, marijuana and one gun. There were no arrests.

The Ashland Avenue house, previously condemned by city inspectors, served as a crack-smoking den, police said. The Falls Street apartment, near 24th Street, housed a marijuana grow operation, police added.

Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster credited citizen complaints with the success of the raids.
