TAX PREPARATION SERVICE: Erie County Legislator Lynn M. Marinelli, D-Town of Tonawanda, will host the Income TAXi, a free tax preparation service, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the North Buffalo Community Center, 203 Sanders Road. The service is offered by the Center for Sustainable Communities and Civic Engagement at Daemen College. Three accounting students who are certified basic and intermediate tax preparers will be present. Taxpayers wishing to take advantage of this service must use 211 or call Daemen College directly at 839-8524 to make appointments and ask for the Income TAXi. Income guidelines for taxpayers are a maximum of $51,000, and applicants must qualify to use 1040EZ, 1040A or 1040 forms, only Schedules A and B.
PISTOL PERMIT SAFETY COURSE: Erie County will present a three-hour pistol permit safety course at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hamburg Town Hall, Room 7B, 6100 South Park Ave. To register, call 824-3951. The cost is $50.
INSURANCE WORKSHOP: A six-hour workshop that helps drivers reduce the number of violation points on their licenses or lower the cost of their automobile insurance for three years will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, 2950 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda. SOUP AND SANDWICH LUNCH: South Park United Methodist Church will host a soup and sandwich lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 73 Ashton Place, at South Park Avenue.
