A Buffalo man pleaded guilty today to possession of child pornography.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango said a search of Kevin Baron’s residence last March revealed a computer and DVD disks that were found to contain more than 600 images of child pornography, including some depicting violence.

Mango said a forensic analysis also revealed that a privacy and cleaning software had been installed and was run on two occasions in February of last year.

Baron’s plea is the result of an investigation by the FBI and Cheektowaga Police. He will be sentenced in May.
