A Buffalo man has been charged with causing the death of one dog and the improper care of another, police said.
Marcus Cole, 50, of Urban Street, was charged by Buffalo officers this afternoon with aggravated animal cruelty and torturing or injuring an animal, for the death of one dog and the chaining of a second unlicensed dog in his house, police said.
Cole is accused of leaving one pet dog outside in the freezing weather with no food, water or shelter, resulting in the death of the animal. He also is charged with tethering his unlicensed Rottweiler to a chain, preventing the animal from moving, according to a police report.
The charges came after complaints were lodged with police.
