A Buffalo teen was charged with felony robbery this week after he robbed two women at gunpoint on Lonsdale Road, police in the city said.

The 16-year-old boy, of Butler Avenue, is accused of smashing one woman on the head with a handgun and stealing a purse with credit cards about 11 p.m. Monday. One of the women suffered a severe gash to the left side of her head, police said.

The teen was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and a weapons count about two hours after the robbery, according to a police report.
