Blockbuster is in the midst of a store-closing sale at its Elmwood Village location.

The video store, at 765 Elmwood Ave., is set to close in early March. Under a plan that has been talked about since last year, Panera Bread will replace Blockbuster at that location, which is owned by the Benchmark Group.

Blockbuster opened its Elmwood Avenue store in 1989.
