The Western New York chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors awarded members for service to the industry and for the largest deals of last year.

The chapter honored University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning Dean Robert G. Shibley with its Meritorious Service Award, for a “prominent public servant who has exhibited leadership and devoted his or her career in service to the commercial real estate community.”

Dennis Greco, founder of brokerage firm Greco Real Estate, received the group’s Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his leadership and career.

The group cited Steven Blake of CBRE Buffalo for winning the Transaction Volume Award, for participating in 27 deals last year. Joseph Deck of Realty USA was the first runner-up.

David Schiller of Pyramid Brokerage Co. received the award for the Largest Broker-Assisted Lease Transaction, for arranging the long-term lease of 97,000 square feet of space at 1760 Wehrle Drive in Amherst to PHH Mortgage Co.

Blake of CBRE was first runner-up for leasing 150,000 square feet to Northrop Grumman Systems in Amherst, followed by Bob Schell, managing partner of Pyramid, as second runner-up, for leasing 60,000 square feet at Waterfront Village in Buffalo to Travelers Insurance Co. Deck received honorable mention for leasing 21,000 square feet to Planet Fitness at the Maple Crossing Plaza in Amherst.

Robert Starzynski of CBRE Buffalo won for the Largest Broker Assisted Sales Transaction, for the $8.154 million sale of the Idlewood apartment complex in Lewiston last year. First runner-up was Blake, for the $6.9 million sale of a warehouse at 2777 Walden Ave., followed by Chris and Dennis Greco for selling an 82-unit apartment complex at 905-916 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo for $5.8 million. Honorable mention went to Gary Greco for selling Chateau Estates & Chapel Park Villa Apartments, with 66 units and 24,000 square feet of retail space at 7008 Erie Rd. in Derby.
