POMFRET – Deputies responding to a complaint of an unsafe driver late Saturday arrested a Dunkirk man on charges of driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a breath test, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

A vehicle driven by Pedro Vazquez-Torres, no age provided, of Monroe Street, was pulled over at 11 p.m. on West Main Street in the Town of Pomfret. Deputies suspected Vazquez-Torres had been drinking but he refused to take a breath test and he was arrested.

Vazquez-Torres also was ticketed for failure to keep right and making an unsafe lane change.
