KINGSTON, R.I. – Eric Mosley hit a clutch three-pointer and accuracy at the foul line brought St. Bonaventure a 67-61 victory over Rhode Island on Saturday in their Atlantic 10 Conference men’s basketball game.

The last of 13 ties in the closely-contested game, 58-all, came with 2:18 left. Demitrius Conger of the Bonnies put his team ahead to stay with a pair of free throws with 1:57 left.

Rhody had chances to tie the game again, but misses at the line kept Bona in front. It was 62-61 before Mosley hit his three with 22 seconds left. Chris Johnson sealed the victory with a pair of foul shots with 6 seconds left.

The Bonnies rallied from a 51-46 deficit for ties at 53, 55 and 58.

Mosley, who made 5 of 11 three-point tries, led the Bonnies with 21 points while Johnson had 18. Conger played all 40 minutes but scored only five.

Bona made 19 of 22 free throws to 18 of 26 for the Rams, who had a 36-28 advantage on the boards.

The win gave the Bonnies (11-11 overall, 4-5 A-10) a split of their two-game road trip to Butler and here.

Xavier Munford had 18 points for Rhode Island (6-16, 1-8) which lost its eighth in a row.
