CLARENDON – The State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and troopers from Troop A arrested two Jamaican nationals in the Orleans County town of Clarendon Thursday and seized about 450 pounds of marijuana in the latest bust linked to a continuing investigation of marijuana trafficking in the greater Rochester and Western New York areas.

Calvin A. Bennett, 37, of the Bronx ,and Roderick R. Johnson, 29, of Rochester, are being held in the Orleans County Jail in lieu of $200,000 cash bail each.

The two suspects were found to be in possession of a container that held a few pieces of office furniture and nine cardboard boxes that each contained a large, wrapped bale of marijuana that weighed approximately 50 pounds. They were arraigned in Clarendon Town Court Thursday. The state police were assisted by members of the Orleans County Major Crimes Task Force.
