Schools going downhill since God was removed

In his column, Donn Esmonde rejoices in the fact that students in Cheektowaga Central High School are not exposed to Bible verses anymore. Are they better off without them? He seems to be ignoring the obvious fact that American public schools have been going downhill (both academically and morally) since God was kicked out of the classroom. And the trend continues. Joelle Silver was just offering a little bit of much-needed light. Students in the public schools face continuous indoctrination in the religion of humanism. But I guess that is OK for Esmonde.
