The Common Council this week agreed to sell 602 Fourth St. for $400,000 to D’Youville College for construction of athletic fields.
D’Youville is acquiring several parcels to put together a 3.5-acre tract for outdoor fields, which is a requirement of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The college expects to spend nearly $3 million on the project.
The sale was approved by the Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency in December. Title to the land had been held by the Buffalo Economic Renaissance Corp., and was transferred to BURA.
