Parker Gahagen of the Buffalo Jr. Sabres made several clutch saves in the third period, but an unlucky bounce in overtime allowed the visiting Georgetown Raiders to win in overtime, 3-2, Monday night at Northtown Center and take first place in the Ontario Junior Hockey League West Division by one point. Robbie Murden scored in overtime to clinch the victory for the visitors after Gahagen had made 33 saves.

Buffalo’s Nathan Pelligra scored his 14th goal of the season to tie the score at 1-1 at 5:06 of the second period. The Jr. Sabres tied it again on Ryan Schmelzer’s 24th of the season to force overtime.

Buffalo next travels to St. Michael’s (Toronto) on Friday to face the Buzzers.
