Meditation requires solo practice daily
Anne Neville has written an excellent overview in “Meditation invitation,” especially the information about the changes in the brain and the health benefits. However, group meditation seems to take center stage, albeit unwittingly. It should be emphasized that daily practice, alone, is necessary. Group meditation can definitely energize, propel and inspire, but basic training is needed. I took some excellent classes at the Himalayan Institute, long established in Buffalo.
