Mitchell Nowakowski is challenging two incumbent village trustees in village elections in March.

Nowakowski, 21, ran for the School Board in 2010. He earned his associate’s degree from Erie Community college and is a junior at Buffalo State College, majoring in urban and regional analysis and planning.

“I’ve been born and raised in the village. I see all my friends moving away and they’re not wanting to move back,” he said.

Nowakowski will be running against Trustees Francis T. Hogenkamp and Joseph R. Wales in the election March 19 in the municipal center.
