Tyler Gjurich, Josh Kielich and Nolan Sheeran scored shootout goals, and Parker Gahagen finished with 46 saves as the Buffalo Junior Sabres broke their regular-season program record for single-season victories at the Junior A level by beating Toronto Lakeshore 5-4 Monday night at Northtown Center.

The Junior Sabres captured their 33rd win, eclipsing the old mark of 32 set during the program’s days as the Niagara Scenics in 1995-96 in the Metro Junior A League.

Gjurich scored twice in regulation for Buffalo (33-11-4), which overcame three one-goal deficits and led 4-3 late after third-period goals by David Seward and Pat Egan.
