PBA Tour bowlers Ryan Ciminelli of Cheektowaga, John Szczerbinski of North Tonawanda and Jack Jurek of Lackawanna will be in competition in the live TV debut of the Professional Bowlers Association League competition at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Mich. (ESPN, noon).

Ciminelli will be in the lineup of the No.1 seed Brooklyn Styles in the stepladder finals. Szczerbinski and Jurek are on the New York WTT KingPins. The Motown Muscle. the Silver Lake, Calif. Atom Splitters and the Dallas Strikers are the other teams in the finals. Baker format will be used in the team finals.

Despite averaging 226.9 in match play, Szczerbinski was only 3-6 in match play and finished 13th in the Earl Anthony Players Championship. Match play wrapped up late Friday.

Szczerbinski suffered some tough losses including a 267-259 defeat against Amleto Monacelli and a 269-248 loss to Wes Malott. He defeated Bill Spangler, 247-191 in the position round. The former Wichita State All-American earned $2,300 on top of the $4,000 he collected for his fifth-place finish in the Don Carter Classic earlier during the PBA Winter Swing week of competition.
