Orchard Park police arrested a Buffalo man on burglary and other charges after he was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle on Saturday morning.

Stephen T. Banko IV, 37, of Harding Road, was charged with second-degree burglary, criminal mischief, five counts of grand larceny and two counts of petit larceny by Officers Jason Schiedel and Robert Simmons, police said.

About 11 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle parked and running on Bielak Road. Banko was passed out inside, police said.

After an investigation, police accused Banko of breaking into a relative’s home nearby and stealing several items. Banko also was charged with operating with a suspended license and driving while under the influence of drugs.

The investigation is continuing. Banko was arraigned and taken to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of bail.
