Everyone who has taken interest in Elvis Aaron Presley is surely aware that the career of “the King” moved through several distinct stages. Every Elvis fan has their favorite era – there’s the Sun Records phase, with Elvis as the barely post-teen young buck oozing talent and charisma; there’s the more mature, refined, black leather-clad King of the 1968 “Comeback Special”; there’s the lovable, if perhaps slightly befuddled, jumpsuit-adorned Elvis of latter-period Las Vegas residencies. The hardest-core of hardcore Elvis fans loves each of these distinct kingly epochs equally, because in their view, everything the man touched turned to gold.

Those devout fans are in for a treat when the critically and commercially lauded “Elvis Lives” show – a traveling multimedia production that pays heed to several specific periods in Presley’s career, with period-specific costumes, lighting and song selection – makes its way to Shea’s Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The show features competitors from the annual Elvis Presley Enterprises-overseen “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest,” with winner Bill Cherry being joined by finalists Kevin Mills, Leo Days and Bill Klein. Singer/dancer Lori Russo will handle the role of Ann-Margret.
